Fast Times is Australia's premier skateboard retailer with multiple stores across the country.
In 2021 we began our Reusable Bag Program to move away from the old style free plastic bag with purchase, and instead transition to a reusable option.
In addition to the environmental benefits we were most excited to implement a dedicated charity program that would allow us to partner with charities to support our communities in times of crisis as well as support causes close to our hearts.
Through the purchase of every Fast Times Reusable Bag, our customers are giving back to their communities in amazing ways! Check out our latest charity partner and previous partners below!
CURRENT CHARITY PARTNER:
For the months of November and December 2024, all profits from the sale of our reusable shop bags will be going to Second Bite.
Second Bite is the largest food rescue organisation in Australia who work with several organisations to get much needed food to those in need. With all the challenges in the cost of living right now it is the shocking reality that almost 1 in 2 Australians admit to cutting back or skipping at least one meal a week due to financial reasons. This is despite the fact that each year Australia produces enough food to feed our country three times over! That is why the work that Second Bite does is so important to support all those in need so that no one goes hungry. In the last financial year they provided the equivalent of 50 million meals to those in need and it's with support from you that we can continue to help their cause.

STORIES:
Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) Skatepark
Following on from our donation to the team at Spinifex Skateboards, in 2023 we partnered with Spinifex again this time raising $20,000 to help contribute to the Ltyentye Apurte Skatepark in Ltyentye Apurte Community/Santa Teresa, 80kms southeast of Mparntwe/Alice Springs on Eastern Arrernte Country. These funds will contribute to further development of the park in the near future which will include rubber matting, landscaping and shade!
We were stoked to send a few of our team up for the grand opening of this skatepark, check out the clip here:
Congratulations to Nicky 'Skateboard' Hayes and Spinifex Skateboards as well as all involved in making this project come to life: Grind Projects, East By West Co, Central Land Council and AAAC.
Thank you for extending a warm welcome to our team at the opening event!
For our first round of donations, we worked with our good friends @spinifexskateboards. All profits from bag sales between September 21st and December 31st 2021 went directly towards Spinifex's ongoing initiatives of supporting the young people of the remote Northern Territory Community of Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa).
We were stoked to be able to raise a total of $15,000 to enable Nicky Hayes and the Spinifex team to continue providing youth in Ltyentye Apurte with free skate lessons, skate park improvements and skate trips.
