Fast Times is Australia's premier skateboard retailer with 25 stores across Australia.

In 2021 we began our Reusable Bag Program to move away from the old style free plastic bag with purchase, and instead transition to a reusable option.

In addition to the environmental benefits we were most excited to implement a dedicated charity program that would allow us to partner with new charities every quarter, allowing us to provide timely support for things such as bushfires and floods, as well as support causes close to our hearts.

Through the purchase of the Fast Times Reusable Bags, our customers are giving back to their communities in amazing ways!

Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) Skatepark

Through our in-store reusable bags program, together we raised $20,000 to help contribute to the Ltyentye Apurte Skatepark in Ltyentye Apurte Community/Santa Teresa, 80kms southeast of Mparntwe/Alice Springs on Eastern Arrernte Country.

These funds will contribute to further development of the park in the near future which will include rubber matting, landscaping and shade!

Type 1 Foundation

All profits from the sale of our reusable bags from July 1st through to the 30th of September will go directly to the Type 1 Foundation.

The Type 1 Foundation was established in Geelong in 2015 and was founded by CEO Ange Liston-McCaughley after the sudden diagnosis of her daughter Lila at age 9. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition in which the immune system is activated to destroy the cells in the pancreas which produce insulin. We do not know what causes this autoimmune reaction. Type 1 diabetes is not linked to modifiable lifestyle factors. There is no cure and it cannot be prevented.

The Mission of the Type 1 Foundation is to create a community that would support, connect and empower all people living with Type 1 Diabetes and their families. The Foundation supports over 3000 families by providing social and educational opportunities as well as linking families with crucial support networks and life saving information and campaigns.

One of their key goals is to reduce the amount of misdiagnosis that occurs each day which can lead to the life threatening condition Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Their campaign, 'Dont Ignore The 4' highlights the 4 most common symptoms of T1D: Tired, Thirsty, Weight loss and increased urination.

To find out more about the fantastic work they do, please see the link here: www.type1foundation.com.au

Thank you! Together, we raised $25,000 for the Type 1 Foundation.
